APM’s Pat Russell is to be a keynote speaker at a forthcoming mental health conference, organised by the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA).
Working Towards Better Mental Health is one-day conference to be held in Birmingham in June.
It will shine a spotlight on mental health and employment support offering an excellent opportunity to learn from others about new approaches and what already works.
With the national landscape for employment support services changing and a far greater emphasis on helping those with health and disabilities into work, the event will help charities, health bodies, local authorities, housing associations and other employment support providers understand the challenges and opportunities ahead.
It is the latest industry-leading health initiative being driven by APM, following the company’s recent launch of APM labs.
Whilst conjuring images of men in white coats with bubbling potions, APM labs is far less sinister! The project will see the deployment of trials based on high potential ideas in employment service design, with subsequent results published openly.
Pat Russell explains: “APM labs exists as a partnership with academics and providers for collaborative research and new ideas that can have a direct impact on front-line services.
“Our commitment is to nurture a ‘test and learn’ culture, not only within our own business but across service providers and commissioners.”
Working Towards Better Mental Health is an ERSA event, sponsored by mental health charity, BITA Pathways.
