Generous APM employees have spread some cheer in the North East with a payroll giving donation that will support 100 young people.
The North East Cheer All-stars have benefited from a Give As You Earn donation, following a nomination by APM Supply Chain Manager, Owen Peterson, whose daughters Niamh and Isla re members.
NEC All-stars Academy Director, Rachel Lynch, was quick to pass on her thanks to Owen and all at APM who made the donation possible.
“We cannot thank APM employees enough for the funding which they have given us which will support over 100 young people,” she said.
“The money will be used to purchase vital training equipment which will allow us to prepare our athletes for national and even international competitions.
“It will be used by athletes of all ages and abilities and will allow them to progress safely through tumbles levels. This means we can produce higher ability athletes at a much quicker rate.”
NEC Allstars is a dedicated cheerleading programme based in South Tyneside and Newcastle that uses the competitive sport of cheerleading to engage young people aged five and over in physical activity and leadership.
